The situation
A written summary, weeks later, with no takeaways.
A global creative industry association runs intimate executive summits for 100-plus senior creatives: two days of keynotes, breakouts and interviews, with speakers from agencies, platforms and brands showing how they actually use AI in their work.
After each summit a reporter wrote up a summary by hand. It arrived weeks later, recorded what was said rather than what it meant, and gave members nothing to act on. Attendees left with notes on their phones, sponsors had little to show, and more than ten hours of content was gone once the room emptied.
What we did
Five steps, in order.
- Step 01
Took a live audio feed from every stage, keynotes, breakouts and interviews, into real-time transcription on a laptop at the venue.
- Step 02
Built an AI agent, trained on the event material and carrying the association’s brand, that read the transcript as it arrived and pulled out quotes, themes and takeaways.
- Step 03
Pushed the best of them to the event screens throughout the day, and sent an end-of-day summary of key quotes, themes and actions to the organisers’ Slack channel.
- Step 04
After the event, ran a second set of agents over the full transcript to distil the themes, profile each speaker’s session with its key quotes, and assemble a branded report: executive summary, eight themes, a takeaway per session, playbooks and a glossary.
- Step 05
Packed the setup into a kit that travels, and ran it again at the association’s later summits that year.
What changed
983 speaker quotations captured live across 12 sessions, 15 speakers and 10.5 hours of content, with the full report out within a week.
- Attendees saw the summit’s best lines on screen while the speaker was still talking.
- Members and sponsors got a 35-page report with themes, speaker profiles and takeaways, instead of a summary with none.
- The same pipeline now runs at the association’s other summits.
What the team uses now
The association runs the live capture and the post-event report at each summit, and agencies use the same setup for pitches, workshops and internal sessions. It runs on Decoder, the AI platform founder Peter Dolukhanov also founded.

AI now reads incoming documents, pulls out the details and prepares proposal paperwork across the agency's systems, carrier portals and email, so staff stop re-keying the same information.
